How often should i get family Photos?

I have a variety of clients. Some families I see yearly and some I meet only once. I also have clients who get family photographs every 3 or so years. There's no right or wrong way to do it.. and the decision is a highly personal one for each family. So how do you know which one is right for you?

What should our Family Wear?

The trick to choosing patterns for your family photos is that you don’t want to have to many and make your photos too busy. Usually, I’d suggest sticking to one or two patterns and having solid colors and textures for the rest. But there are exceptions to that rule! I’m always available to help all my clients figure out clothing, so if you have questions, I’m here!

Sometimes you can get away with having two or three floral patterns, you just have to make sure the patterns are different enough. Textures can add a lot of interest to your photos, but in a more subtle way. I am obsessed with textures and I suggest you add as much texture as possible! You can’t have too much (unlike patterns).

Where do we take the pics?

There are so many options for locations. We can shoot at your home, my studio, or choose from a variety of different locations in the metro area. Timing is also important. Either early morning or late afternoon to golden hour. Heather can share her favorite locations and best time to take your family pictures.
